The Challenge is a competition before a panel of judges comprised of CEO/Senior executives from the internship companies. Pre-qualified candidates from each educational institution will submit a brief paper on a topical issue relating to leadership and then present and defend it in front of the panel. The overall winning student will receive a cash prize of $5,000 provided by the business sponsors of the Challenge, and an opportunity for an internship with a business organization in the summer of 2012. There will be an additional cash prize of $3,000 and internship opportunity for the runner-up student from each of the three institutions.
The summer internship is the key element of the program and includes:
a paid work term of at least 12 weeks, commencing on or about May 1, 2012;
minimum monthly remuneration of approximately $3,000;
rotation of the intern, where possible, through the core functional areas of the organization including a rotation with some exposure to the President’s office or the head of a division;
